Bird Feeding at Bird Paradise
Just like at the Singapore Zoo, children have the opportunity to participate in bird feeding sessions at Bird Paradise. These sessions operate on a first-come-first-served basis and can be booked online in advance for $8.There are a variety of feeding sessions available, each with their own unique experience.
In the African Birds Feeding session, children can hand-feed starlings and weavers with mealworms, and colorful turacos with fruits. This session takes place at the Heart of Africa exhibit at Bird Paradise and is held twice a day at 9:30am and 2pm.
For those interested in feeding pelicans, the Pelican Feeding session takes place at the Kuok Group Wings of Asia exhibit at Bird Paradise. Participants can feed the pelicans with fish while overlooking the paddy fields. This session is held at 10am.
At the Lory Loft exhibit, children can witness a flock of lories all flocking for food during the Lories and Lorikeets Feeding session. Participants can pick up a cup of homemade nectar and feed the birds at 11am and 3:30pm.
Finally, children can hand-feed the enormous flightless cassowaries and admire their size and bright blue necks during the Cassowary Feeding session. This session takes place at the Mysterious Papua exhibit at Bird Paradise and is held once a day at 1pm.
