How to get to Mandai parks ?

Getting to the Mandai Wildlife Reserve (home to the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, Bird Paradise, and the new Rainforest Wild Asia) is straightforward with several efficient transport options in 2026.

1. The Most Popular Route: MRT + Mandai Khatib Shuttle

The Mandai Khatib Shuttle is the most direct and affordable public transport option.

  • Step 1: Take the North-South (Red) Line to Khatib MRT Station (NS14).

  • Step 2: Follow signs to Exit A and board the Mandai Khatib Shuttle (M2).

  • Frequency: Every 15 minutes (20 minutes between 11:00 PM and 12:00 AM).

  • Fare: S$2.50 (Cashless only via EZ-Link or Contactless Credit/Debit cards). Children under 7 ride free.

  • Travel Time: Approximately 15 minutes.

2. Public Bus Services

You can also use standard public bus services from various MRT interchanges. These are useful if you are coming from the North or West.

  • From Ang Mo Kio (NS16) or Springleaf (TE4): Take Bus 138.

  • From Choa Chu Kang (NS4): Take Bus 927.

  • From Woodlands (NS9/TE2): Public bus 926 operates only on Sundays and Public Holidays.

3. Inter-Park Shuttle (Internal)

Once you arrive at the reserve, traveling between the different parks (e.g., from Bird Paradise to the Singapore Zoo) is easy and Free of Charge.

  • Route: Connects Mandai Wildlife East (Singapore Zoo, River Wonders, Night Safari) and Mandai Wildlife West (Bird Paradise, Rainforest Wild Asia).

  • Frequency: Approximately every 15 minutes.

4. Taxi & Private Hire (Grab/Gojek/Tada)

If you value speed and comfort, ride-sharing is the fastest way to reach the reserve.

  • Drop-off Points:

    • Mandai Wildlife West: For Bird Paradise and Rainforest Wild Asia.

    • Mandai Wildlife East: For Singapore Zoo, River Wonders, and Night Safari.

  • Estimated Cost: S20–S35 from the city center, depending on the time of day and traffic.

5. Driving & Parking

The reserve has two main multi-storey car parks.

  • Mandai Wildlife West (Carpark 1): Best for Bird Paradise and Rainforest Wild Asia.

  • Mandai Wildlife East (Carpark 2): Best for Singapore Zoo, River Wonders, and Night Safari.

  • 2026 Parking Rates (Approx.): * First Hour: S$3.00 (inclusive of a 10-minute grace period).

    • Subsequent Hours: S$2.00 per hour.

    • Maximum Daily Cap: S$10.00.

Pro-Tips for 2026:

  1. Go Cashless: All Mandai shuttles and public transport require EZ-Link cards or contactless payments (Visa/Mastercard). Cash is not accepted on buses.

  2. Night Safari Return: If you are staying late for the Night Safari, the Mandai Khatib Shuttle runs until 12:00 AM. Private hire cars can be hard to find at midnight, so consider booking your ride 15 minutes before you plan to leave.

  3. Mandai App: Download the official Mandai App for real-time bus arrival timings and an interactive map to help you navigate between the five parks.

📍 The "Two Arrival Plazas" Note

A major point of confusion in 2026 is that the reserve now has two main arrival points: Mandai Wildlife East and Mandai Wildlife West. Ensure your H3: Where to Drop Off section clearly explains which plaza corresponds to which park:

  • West: Bird Paradise & Rainforest Wild Asia.

  • East: Singapore Zoo, River Wonders & Night Safari.
